The flawless guitar player.
The artist
Eric Patrick Clapton, (30 March 1945) is an English rock and blues guitarist, singer, and songwriter. He is the only three-time inductee to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame: once as a solo artist and separately as a member of the Yardbirds and of Cream. Clapton has been referred to as one of the most important and influential guitarists of all time.
My album
24 Nights (1991) is a "best of" from the 42 concerts Eric Clapton did at the Royal Albert Hall in 1990 and 1991. Clapton set a record by playing a run of 24 nights at the London Royal Albert Hall between 5 February and 9 March 1991, following an 18-night run in 1990.
My song
Ain't nobody's business (if I do) (From the craddle, 1994). Why? In a 1930´s blues originally recorder by Bessie Smith, Clapton only plays for the last 1m20s of this song but delivers, to me, one of the best solos ever played. Check it here.
Did you know?
In 1996 Clapton had a relationship with singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow. It is said that Crow's song My Favourite Mistake (The Globe Sessions, 1998) is about Eric Clapton.
