The band

Metallica is an American heavy metal band. The band was formed in 1981 in Los Angeles by vocalist/guitarist James Hetfield and drummer Lars Ulrich and has been based in San Francisco for most of its career. Longtime lead guitarist Kirk Hammett and bassist Robert Trujillo make for the rest of the band. 

My album

Metallica (also know as The Black Album, 1991). My song

Whiskey in the jar (1999). Why? Because this is not a Metallica original. This song is an Irish Folk song, first recorded by The Dubliners in 1968 and again by Thin Lizzy in 1972. In good time Metallica did a new and powerful version of it. You can listen to it here.
