Three wise men.

The band

The Police were an English rock band formed in London in 1977. For most of their history the line-up consisted of primary songwriter Sting (lead vocals, bass guitar), Andy Summers (guitar) and Stewart Copeland (drums, percussion and founder). The band became globally popular in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Emerging in the British new wave scene, they played a style of rock influenced by punk, reggae, and jazz.

My album

Ghost in the Machine is the fourth studio album by English rock band The Police. The album was originally released on 2 October 1981. The songs were recorded between January and September 1981 during sessions that took place at AIR Studios in Montserrat and Le Studio in Quebec. The album reached #1 on the UK Albums Chart and #2 on the US Billboard 200. The band released three successful singles from the album: "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic", "Invisible Sun", and "Spirits in the Material World".

My song

Don't stand so close to me (Zenyatta Mondatta, 1980). Why? Because of the all atmosphere of guilt and restrain and because of the 1986 version.

Did you know?

While recording, at the beginning of the song Roxanne, Sting fell backwards onto the piano and started to laugh. The band decided to keep it in.
